In November 2017, Gary Lancaster was commissioned by St Josephs community in Moorebank NSW to hand paint an 1800’s mural of “The Ascension” on the front wall of the church behind the altar. He meticulously hand painted the marble frame around the artwork with a Pugin crown at the top above Jesus’ head. He also hand painted the marble coffers and Pugin insignia underneath the artwork.
