Sacred Heart Church Heritage Repaint
Lancaster Painters Australia were sensitive to protecting work areas, furniture and other items during the process of works. Dropsheets and plastic were laid extensively throughout the Sacred Heart Church. Even the Stations of the Cross, pews, organ and other items were covered with plastic. This was necessary as preparation work included the sweeping down of walls, repair of minor and major cracks, filling, sanding and plastering. Timber surfaces including doors and door frames were dusted down and washed with sugar soap and water, followed by more washing with clean water and allowed to dry.
With the sound preparation of the walls and surfaces completed, Lancaster Painters Australia applied environmentally friendly high quality paint systems to the surfaces, giving a smooth finish. Base coats and top coats were applied with some broken colour effects. A dado section at the bottom of the walls was hand painted with a delicate gold pin-stripe above.
